Recognising the critical role CRCs play in supporting investigators and ensuring the conduct of high-quality clinical research, the Ministry of Health tasked SCRI with the implementation of national training programmes for CRCs and provide funding to build a sustainable talent pipeline. This initiative supports Singapore's position as a leading centre for clinical research and healthcare innovation.

To achieve this, SCRI Academy works closely with subject matter experts, public healthcare institutions, regulatory authorities, and local and international training partners to develop a series of structured national CRC training programmes. The SCRI Academy's programmes combine foundational knowledge with practical application through case studies, simulations, demonstrations, interactive discussions, and real-world scenarios. This practice-based approach ensures participants are equipped not only to understand the regulatory, ethical, and operational requirements of clinical research, but also with the skills to apply them effectively in the conduct of safe, ethical, and high-quality studies.

Over the years, SCRI Academy has expanded its scope to support the broader Clinical Research Professional (CRP) community including the investigators and other research team members. SCRI Academy also supports the Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) initiative to raise public awareness and address the common misconceptions about participation in clinical trials.
Through education, partnerships, and professional development, SCRI Academy continues to strengthen research capabilities, foster collaboration, and promote excellence across Singapore's clinical research ecosystem.
