National Coordinating Office
The national-level coordinating and strategy implementation office for Singapore’s clinical trials ecosystem.
About the National Coordinating Office
The National Coordinating Office for Clinical Trials (NCO) serves as the national-level coordinating and strategy implementation office for Singapore’s clinical trials ecosystem. Its role goes beyond supporting individual trials: it addresses system-wide barriers, aligns stakeholders and drives national initiatives that strengthen Singapore’s competitiveness as a clinical trials destination.
The main responsibility of NCO is to take on the role of the national clinical trials coordinator. This would involve taking on the responsibilities to shorten the start-up time of clinical trials in Singapore and to be given the mandate to define success goals, monitor performance of clinical trials, and work with relevant agencies to review and propose policy changes to facilitate the conduct of clinical trials for promising entities in Singapore.
