Consultancy Partnership
19 August 2026
Ongoing methodological support for research departments and institutes.
Building strong research capability requires more than support for individual projects. It depends on sustained access to methodological expertise, strategic guidance, and mentorship that can be applied across a portfolio of research activities. Whether refining a grant proposal, selecting an appropriate study design, addressing a complex analytical challenge, or supporting the development of early-career researchers, timely access to expert advice can significantly enhance the quality and impact of research.
Our consultancy partnerships are established with healthcare institutions, research departments, academic centres, and industry partners rather than individual projects. Through these arrangements, organisations have access to an agreed level of methodological support over a defined period, allowing expertise to be deployed where it is most needed across different projects and teams. Depending on organisational priorities, support can draw on the expertise of our Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) and Biostatistics teams, covering areas such as study design, epidemiology, real-world evidence, health economic evaluation, evidence synthesis, statistical analysis, grant development, and research capability building.

Building capability and the talent pipeline
The purpose of a consultancy agreement is not to do a department’s research for it. It is to widen the talent pipeline — to grow a larger pool of committed and skilled research professionals inside the institution, so that the capability remains once the engagement ends. In academic institutions this extends to students, whom we help equip with the study design and proposal writing skills their research careers will rest on.
New and early-career investigators tend to benefit most. The first study is the hardest, and having someone experienced to ask is often what separates a research career that starts confidently from one that stalls before it begins.
Engaging us
Consultancy agreements are arranged in discussion with the department or institute. To explore one, contact us via email: contact@scri.cris.sg — and we will arrange a scoping conversation.
