Prof Huang Chun-Yao
Dr. Huang Chun-Yao is a distinguished Taiwanese cardiologist and medical researcher who currently serves as the Director of Medicine at Taipei Medical University Hospital. He completed his medical degree from Taipei Medical College and later earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Medicine from Taipei Medical University.
As President of the Taiwan Acute Myocardial Infarction Society (TAMIS) and Director of the Taiwan Society of Cardiovascular Intervention (TSCI), Dr. Huang has established himself as a leading figure in cardiovascular medicine in Taiwan. His clinical expertise spans complex coronary interventions, structural heart disease, and heart failure management, complemented by proficiency in advanced cardiac imaging techniques.
Dr. Huang's research interests are notably diverse, encompassing vascular biology, data science, and wearable device development. His scholarly work has resulted in numerous publications in prestigious journals, with particular focus on cardiovascular disease management, lipid disorders, and innovative medical technologies. His research has earned recognition, including the Excellent Research Paper Award from the Taiwan Society of Atherosclerosis & Vascular Diseases.
In addition to his clinical and research work, Dr. Huang has held several leadership positions at Taipei Medical University Hospital, including Chair of the Department of Cardiology and Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. He currently serves as a Professor of Internal Medicine at Taipei Medical University's College of Medicine, where he has been repeatedly recognized for excellence in teaching.
