SCRI is proud to share the launch of the White Paper on Advancing Clinical Trials with Decentralised Elements in Singapore.

A key highlight of the SCRI Roundtable was the launch of the White Paper, Advancing Clinical Trials with Decentralised Elements in Singapore – Opportunities, Readiness and Scalable Adoption.
The White Paper explores how decentralised clinical trial (DCT) approaches can enhance patient access, improve operational efficiency, strengthen trial resilience, and support greater collaboration across the clinical research ecosystem.
Singapore has strong clinical research capabilities. The opportunity now is to connect these strengths, make clinical trials more accessible to patients through remote participation, digital data collection and more flexible trial activities, while maintaining high standards of quality and oversight.
Here are 5 key takeaways from the White Paper:
-Bring research closer to patients: Appropriate decentralised elements can reduce participation burden
-Build on Singapore’s strong foundation: Our regulatory credibility, digital infrastructure and experiences investigators provide a strong starting point.
-Move beyond individual success stories: The PROMOTE study demonstrates local feasibility, but scaling requires consistent processes across institutions and studies.
-Learn from global experience: Clear guidance, connected data systems, qualified service providers and well-defined responsibilities are essential for successful implementation.
-Turn readiness into action: a phased, risk-based roadmap can help Singapore progress towards scalable implementation and strengthen its position as a trusted clinical research hub in Asia.
