Embracing Technology Enhanced Learning for the CRC Level 1 Programme (September 2020 intake)
Programme Duration: 04 September 2020 to 20 November 2020
Venue: Zoom (Online)
Organiser: SCRI Academy
SCRI Academy’s 12-week Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) Level 1 Programme kick-started its first virtual lesson, ‘Introduction to Clinical Trial’ on 4 September 2020, in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. It has welcomed a total of 22 CRC and clinical research personnel from various healthcare institutions.
To ensure continued safe learning without disruption, the Programme has adopted a blended learning approach consisting of e-learning and face-to-face virtual classroom trainings. The shift from physical lessons to a mix of independent online learning and face-to-face training sessions is set to empower the participants with the flexibility to manage their learning progress at their own pace and time. This is also to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for them amidst the pandemic. Similar to previous intakes, the virtual face-to-face classroom sessions will also incorporate interactive classroom discussions, case scenarios and practice-based activities to reinforce the application of core CRC skills in their operational duties. In addition, the Programme trainers will provide a range of opportunities to facilitate participants’ sharing of their experiences and insights for peer-to-peer learning.
The SCRI Academy would like to thank our public healthcare institutions, regulatory authorities and various training partners for their tremendous efforts in collaborating with SCRI Academy to enable a successful commencement of the CRC Level 1 Programme (Blended).
