Dr. Alfred KOW Dr Alfred Kow is one of our key members in the NUHS Liver Transplant program, from the liver transplant surgery team. After completing his advanced fellowship in liver transplantation and HPB Surgical Oncology at Samsung Medical Center in Seoul, Dr Kow returned to NUH in 2011 and has been a key member in the liver transplant program in NUH. He also works closely with the National University Cancer Institute (NCIS) of Singapore to treat patients with malignancies in the hepatobiliary system. He has great interest in minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery in the HPB conditions. In addition, Dr Alfred Kow has a major portfolio in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. He is currently the Assistant Dean of the NUS School of Medicine. He is actively involved in medical education and has won numerous teaching awards at the hospital and university levels, including twice the recipient of the NUS Annual Teaching Excellence Award. He is also a core faculty member of the NUHS Surgery Residency Program. |
