Inaugural Polypoidal Choroidal Vasculopathy Research Network Meeting, 4 Oct 2018, Singapore

In conjunction with the National Healthcare Group (NHG) Eye Institute 8th International Ophthalmology Congress (IOC) 2018, Polypoidal Choroidal Vasculopathy Research Network (PCVNet) held their inaugural meeting at Faber Peak, Singapore, on 4 October 2018. The meeting was funded by Novartis and Heidelberg Engineering. PCVNet is an international research network formed to encourage more investigator-initiated multi-centre studies for Polypoidal Choroidal Vasculopathy (PCV) and related ocular conditions. It aims to reduce visual morbidity due to PCV and to deepen understanding of the disease. The research network seeks be a platform for the exchanging of ideas and intellectual discourse regarding topics on PCV patient care. Details of the PCVNet constitution, current knowledge gaps in PCV research, and potential studies were presented and widely discussed during the meeting. The event concluded with SCRI’s Epidemiology, Business Operations, Project Management and Research Monitoring staff partaking in a dinner held at the end of the day.
