The Cancer Therapeutics Research Group (CTRG) was formed in October 1997 by Professor John Wong (National University Health System) and Professor James Bishop (Sydney Cancer Centre and University of Sydney) to develop new therapeutic strategies for cancers common to Asia-Pacific. This resulted in a joint research group which performs clinical trials on new anti-cancer drugs in Asia-Pacific, and aims to be the equivalent of oncology cooperative groups in the USA. The CTRG has rapidly established itself and is now recognised as the leading group for evaluating new therapeutic strategies in the Asia-Pacific region. | Ms Joan Phee |
