Career development, training and education are critical to SCRI’s mission to develop capabilities and infrastructure for research personnel who are conducting clinical trials and clinical research.
To that end, SCRI established the Research Staff Career Development (RSCD) taskforce to review and recommend the development of a robust career path for Clinical Research Coordinators to:
- increase retention,
- enhance talent development,
- provide a platform for augmenting a pipeline of CRC’s required for Singapore’s clinical research needs.
SCRI continues to work with various stakeholders to facilitate and coordinate these ongoing efforts to provide training and career development opportunities.
In addition, the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) has been able to use the findings from the RSCD taskforce as a basis for several funding initiatives they recently launched to support clinical research personnel.
