Our Research Informatics team supports all expertise domains in SCRI through the development and use of information technology tools to facilitate complex clinical research workflows.
We do this by developing new applications and creating new partnerships to offer our investigators a choice of the tools/platform they need for clinical research. Expensive complex software may not always be the best solution as it often comes with complex but necessary industry processes, while simple solutions may not solve the needs of an investigator who must adhere to strict regulatory requirements.
By working with partners and customising our in-house applications, we can help investigators concentrate on the science while we care for the processes.
SCRI actively promotes and encourages the use of Electronic Data Capture (EDC) for both investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored research, depending on the users in the respective environment.
