The Metabolic Research Network (MRN) was established in late 2010. It is a Clinical Research Network developed and coordinated by the Singapore Clinical Research Institute (SCRI), in collaboration with key clinicians and therapeutic experts. MRN provides a national infrastructure for collaborative research in the metabolic / diabetes area. The MRN currently involves representation from Singapore restructured care hospitals with common interests in pursuing clinical research in the area of metabolic disorders.
The purpose of the MRN is to:
- Provide and support scientific leadership representation for the investigation of metabolic disease entities
- Provide a platform to support improved efficiency of the conduct of clinical trials through collaborative patient recruitment to competitive timelines
- Support research activities and aspire to be the source of expert knowledge and policy inputs in the metabolic disease domain
